    Profanity in the scriptures

Isiah talks about people eating Dung and Drinking Piss. Absolom Pissed against the Walls. Heard that means all the men against the walls. But Urine and Feces was used as they are today in some places.

Dumb Ass makes it's way in the scriptures. Talking about Balaam some institute teacher said donkey was a smart ass too. So there is profanity in the scriptures.

How are urine and feces used today?

Do people consider "piss," "dung," "crap," etc. to be profanity?
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Here is a big wtf? type of scripture:

"For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses."

            -Ezekiel 32:20

So essentially, she has a thing for for men who are hung like donkeys and 'arrive' like unto a horse...

Sucks? My mother would consider both "piss" and "sucks" to be profane.

Shut up was taboo in my house. Oooh, just typing it I can hear my mother now.

Sucks was completely out of bounds in my house. Bum was enough to get cayenne pepper on the tongue.

I can't stand when my kids use "shut up" or "stupid".

Another one was gut. Gut? I never understood that one. She said it sounded crass and that we should use stomach instead.

I told her to shut up and went and rode my big wheel.

We were slightly more highbrow. My mom thought my usage of the word asinine was profane. I thought her position was asinine.

That sounds like my cousins. They couldn't say fart. So they had to say "bad wind".

I won't allow my kids to say stupid.

Per Mrs SMR's rules, sucks, stupid, crap, shut up, piss, butt, and fart are all off limits in our house. Oh, and fuck - that's forbidden too as I recently learned.

Regardless of how you enforce these rules now, I'm sure most, if not all, of us will allow them to lapse at some point. That's what's sort of interesting. Pee and poo are bad words in my house (and stupid and shut up), but that's because my kids are all 8 and under. Its strange when people carry these rules into adulthood.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.
