    Which church was the best?

I've simplified the answers just enough so we will squabble....

I am abstaining because the Valencia Stake Center on McBean Pkwy wasn't listed. I loved that church building. Lots of guys who could play ball and played often. Full court. Plus I made out with my girlfriend in the bishop's office during a stake dance there once.

I feel the same way about the good ol' times in the Frederciksburg Stake Center...except replace "my girlfriend" with your sister

You should add a couple options. Salt Lake 1880 and Salt Lake 2010. I vote Salt Lake 2010.

There really wasn't much of a church in Palmyra, right? Just a small group of guys more like a club?
I considered Missouri, but there were way too many problems, so I went with Nauvoo.

                This is the correct answer.

I say Nauvoo because of two things: Temple and Relief Society. When I say RS, I mean the RS as JS intended it.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

What about that part when JS married the RS leadership in order to quell Emma's use of the RS to further her polygamy investigations? Wasn't it also these older wives' job to prepare the younger girls for spiritual wifery? Is that how JS intended it? (heh heh)

there's evidence that JS intended it to be a female order of the priesthood.

I voted Kirtland. Too small in New York. Missouri and the New Jerusalem / Adam-Ondi-Ahman stuff is too edgy. Nauvoo's theocracy is a little militant for me.

Plus, the Kirtland Temple is a fantastic building.
