Most annoying singer sat behind me in church today

It was for mission homecoming and he is a little diffrent to say the least. Sang in most annoying voice. I have a habit of occasionally looking behind me during the singing. Anyway as we were headed to priesthood asked me why I turned around so much during the hymns. I was not any more than usual. Just his obnoxious voice was annoying. He asked oh you have not heard anyone sing before like that. Of course and he did not sing well either. Annoying.

    Great post, grape.

I like to sing fairly loudly. I also like to work my way through all the parts during the verses (1st verse: Bass part, 2nd verse: Tenor part, 3rd verse: Alto part). When I get a high Tenor part, or an unfamiliar Alto part, this can cause issues. I also don't have the prettiest voice in the world. When kids sit in front of me, it is pretty common for them to look around at me. They have been known to make comments to their parents.

When you get to the alto and soprano parts, I hope you don't bring it down an octave or two. I would enjoy sitting in front of you.

I do this too, except I skip the tenor part because I can never work out the tenor line.

I also try to sing an entire verse in one breath of air.

But that's the fun part, when the tenor line jumps up from an F to a D, which I can't really hit unless I am practically yelling it, so I yell out a C# by mistake, and my wife glares at me even more than when I sing the original words to the songs.

I couldn't do the breathing thing. My breath control is terrible. I'm the guy in the ward choir who, immediately before the note that has to be held for 6 beats, let's out the audible gasp of air.

Does anyone else have fun thigs to help them while singing "Love at Home" for the 142nd time in their life?
