    Had Stake Conference today

I missed last nights meetings. Did not have to travel far today though as they split it for the broadcast. Dieter go on mission keep temple recommend. Russell Ballard mentioned missionary work and Primary President on Respect. Paul Johnson also spoke. Said soldiers were false witnesses and had many of them. Great meeting.

Anyone else today in that meeting?

It's a shame they held a stake conference on Easter Sunday.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

A friend of mine also has SC today. I thought that was weird, too.

I would agree, as it is 2 hours away from my house and I had to speak. But the talks were all focused on the Savior and was one of the most uplifting meeting I have been to in a long time. This was done right.

For better or for worse, Easter and Christmas are pretty much business as usual in the Church. Music and maybe talks will be focused on the holiday if you're lucky but that's pretty much it.

One of the things I look fondly back on from my protestant upbringing are the special services. Easter morning sunrise services, Christmas Eve services, etc.

My ward had several investigators attend Christmas meetings last year. A few members who hadn't been to church in many years came, too. A young woman spoke on chastity, and the adult speakers gave talks on lessons from the pioneers or something like that. I presume they were assigned those topics.
