I came across www.staylds.com while looking for an old mormonstories podcast. That site is now completely gone and redirects to this one. Interesting endeavor.

I think the essay they have posted there ( http://staylds.com/docs/HowToStay.html ) is very interesting and some of those here seeking a middle path might appreciate it.

Here is my favorite quote from the essay: “It took us a while to realize that cynicism and negativity were more harmful to our souls than dogmatic religious tenets and observance.”

Anyway, I thought many of you would enjoy this.

Very interesting essay. Thanks for posting that. I tend to agree with your favorite quote too. I struggle with a particular church leader and have found that my negativity does nothing to help me.

Dehlin gave this presentation at a Sunstone meeting a few years back. He had an mp3 of it posted on Mormon Stories. I'm sure it's his, as all of the points are identical.

I miss the Mormon Stories blog though, it always made for interesting reading/listening whether or not you agreed with them. Which podcast are you looking for? I have a few, maybe the one you want.

Staying Mormon, even without a testimony, is fine, if that is what will make you happiest. But life is long (or can be), and there are a lot of interesting things to do and ways to live. Trying something different is fun, and over the course of an average life, a person might get to try a few ways of being. It can be an adventure.
