The doctor analogy isn't very good for obvious reasons--there is no other solution than to stop sticking your finger in your eyeball. How's this one? Your friend comes to you and complains that his boss always wears a watch that doesn't match his belt. It's not that big of a deal, he's not going to quit his job, he just can't imagine why a guy who can obviously afford to upgrade his wardrobe doesn't do it. However, his boss is very sensitive about things like this, so it probably isn't very wise to say something to him. What's your response? "Either say something to him or stop complaining? I don't want to hear it."
We're completely belaboring this point, since you obviously haven't stopped EJ from discussing things here. The larger point is that it often isn't productive to try to fix everything. Some things don't necessarily need fixing, and the lack of deep discussion over peripheral doctrinal issues in sunday school may be one of those things, particularly when outlets like this exist, where participation is completely voluntary.
). However there might be a time and place to discuss differences in modes of baptism. Maybe when discussing the baptism of Alma (I think it was Alma) who baptized himself at the same time as another person and he didn't even say the same baptismal prayer we use today (see Alma 18). Sounds interesting no? Okay, so maybe not so I'll concede to your point.
