    Nice job, cowboy.

A few years ago a sister in our ward got up to bear her testimony. She said she had recently watched the *edited* version of SPR and was deeply moved by it. She then proceeded to describe the entire movie in great detail, including a description of the ending. She didn't really add anything or apply it in any way. Just outlined the plot for everyone. I wanted to slap her.

    Your approach sounds much better.

Very cool talk. Good on ya Cowboy!

FWIW, there was a GA who discussed a rated R movie in general conference. I think it was Black Hawk Down. I'll have to see if I can find it. Of course, he could have just read the rated R book, which would obviously not have been as bad as watching the movie.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
