One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.....
One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

    Woot

I believe religion has much inherent good and has born many good fruits.

        Good Luck with the Roadshow.
I'm not interested in leading it.

        Merry X-mas!

It doesn't end well. The guy has a "D'oh!" moment and is very embarrassed.

Why not include a pic of the bishopric staggering out of the mall, heavy laden with gifts, over the cutline, "We never said it would be easy; we only said it would be worth it."

Here are a couple of major points you'll want to touch on:

            * Christ's birth (use the term 'as we reflect')
            * Materialism distracting us from the spirit of the season

For once, I wouldn't say anything. Shutting my hole would be the best message.

The only things as bad as Christmas consumerism are the cynical cliches mustered as critiques of it.
We all trust our own unorthodoxies.

                [B]Dear Ward Members,

As we go into the Christmas season, it seems expected that we keep the spotlight focused on Jesus. Christmas is more than just a holiday with family and friends, no, it's a time to come together in Christ Jesus, to reflect on the joy that came into the world that balmy April evening.

                Christ was born in Bethlehem
He is the Great I am
Remember, Remember, the 25th of December
                Is not his actual birthday
So you don't have to worry
                That you're not
                Making the holiday
                All about the
                Son
"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon

                  I would say "no thanks"

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Since racing wasn't his thing, he decided to go out for a job to drive wagons up a mountain. When asked where by his boss where he would drive his wagon, he replied, "As close to the mountain as possible"...

                      I would say something like:

Given that Sunday, December 26th, lands on Boxing Day this year we are not holding any meetings.

                      Happy Holidays Everyone!

Dear people I don't care about,

Let's make this a great holiday season by leaving me the <redacted> alone. The Lord may love and care about you, but I don't.

                          Go to hell.
