This is going to be a crushing blow to the people of Bolivia. I'm actually not kidding. Those Cochabambinos took great pride in having the tallest Jesus statue in the world. It was still under construction while I was there.
    Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Made of plaster and fiberglass. That's cheating.

They should build one as large as the WTC. It would attract Muslim pilots like a backyard bug zapper.

"Don't expect I'll see you 'till after the race"

Just you wait until our local crazy builds his!

            http://www.redding.com/news/2008/jun...ue/?printer=1/

They include a return to mineral mining at the site nine miles northwest of Redding and a 200-foot Italian marble statue of Jesus Christ atop the 3,500-foot mountain that Arman says would be the largest in the world. Next to the steel-framed Christ would stand a 100-foot crucifix made of a material yet to be named.

"I hope to make the property a Garden of Eden,' " Arman said.

That's what I'm talking about! None of this plaster and fiberglass nonsense.

Is the "Touchdown Jesus" in Ohio being rebuilt? I got a kick out of how it was styrofoam over a metal frame, and then people wondered if it was a sign when it got struck by lightning and burned down. I hear they're building the next one out of paper mache and golf clubs.

I seriously thought this thread was going to be about this picture:

I'm glad to see that I'm wrong.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Are those just really nice abs or an explanation as to why god allows suffering?
