Maybe more troubling, the Coalville Tabernacle (demolished):

        I find this building curious:

It's no longer owned by the LDS church.

        Some more info:

Tim took this photo of the Uptown Branch chapel in New Orleans. It's one of a kind.

Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

                    Interesting building.

Note the symbols above the door. They are much more clear in person. IIRC, the place is now used as a shed or shop or some thing.

This was used as an endowment house in Manassa, CO. It is now the stake office building. This small town near the New Mexico border in the San Luis Valley of 1000 has two wards. Rumor has it that the saints were instructed to stop using the building to perform live endowments but they persisted and BRM was sent out to put an end to it. Supposedly in his rebuke he said that they would have had a temple if they had been obedient. Like the Spring City, Utah building it has some interesting symbols on it including Holiness to the Lord over the main entrance. It's a cool building. Lots of members didn't like to talk about it, so I can't tell what is myth or not.

check this out: This new superchurch will house 4 stakes and 48 wards.

It can seat 1600 plus seats in overflow.

Doesnt look like enough parking, but it is for students. Can you imagine the amount of meat market worshipping going on in a chapel built for about 12 wards at the same time? Thats 3,000 coeds at the same time!!

Dovetails nicely with one of the messages from conference that was repeated by several speakers.

The Moonies bought it. I wonder if they still have it.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                                Don't get too excited.

the new building is not so much a meetinghouse for regular Sunday worship, but rather a dual-purpose "facility" — one, a site to hold stake conference meetings where upwards of 2,000 can be accommodated at one time; and two, a four-pod configuration to house leadership and clerk offices and interview rooms for four stakes and 48 wards of BYU student and young single adult LDS members.
