Looks like it was a quiz on religion, not on the bible. What religion was Maimonides? Beats me.

Google tells me he was a great Jewish Torah scholar.

I think what happened is that the atheists cheated on the quiz the most, followed by mormons. The evangelicals also cheated, but very ineffectively.

My experience is that the Catholics know much less about the Bible than the Evangelicals, but, by are large, are much more enjoyable to be around.

I personally like hanging out with Jews.

I briefly dated an Evangelical who wouldn't go to third base with me because I was Mormon. As if the sexual transgression wasn't enough, it became taboo with the addition of a Mormon.

See, I don't think a Catholic would have that issue.

I kicked butt on that quiz. I think I may be a little too religious.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Note that the quiz on the article is not the same one that the article is discussing. It says it was a 32-question quiz delivered over the phone.

I just know there is something clever I could say, but I can't think of it. I am starting to fear the rest home isn't that far away.

Nice, you can also chalk it up as a service project.

On questions about Christianity, Mormons scored the highest, with an average of about eight correct answers out of 12, followed by white evangelicals
                            Suck on that atheists!

Jews, along with atheists and agnostics, knew the most about other faiths, such as Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Judaism.
Congratulations on that worthless bit of trivia.

Is this thread and Wuap's about the same thing?

Atheists and agnostics tend to be more apt to engage their brains. It's a lifelong habit that they bring to the Bible as much as to history or science, and generally better than religious people they appreciate the Bible as an integral element of our history. So this is not surprising at all. It's exactly what I expected. Devout evangelicals probably don't read much of anything except maybe Christian novels.
