In another thread I posted the new temples I thought would come up. don't know if any but some are usuall announced in Conference. I predicted San Juan Puerto Rico, Virginia Beach Virgina, Paris France, Pocatello Idaho and somewere in the Pacific or Australia. How accurate will my guesses be?

A temple in Paris has been in the works for some time. Pres. HInckley visited the Paris mission in 1998 (just so happens his daughter, a very good person, was in that mission as well at that time) and announced that he'd like to have a temple in Paris. He even went so far as to select a location, however the church has been unable to purchase the land on that location (or at least that was the last I heard). I believe the location was to be in St. Cloud, which is a moderately upscale town just to the west of Paris.

They abandoned the St. Cloud plan, at least for a time, because the seller wouldn't follow through with the sale. The Church then had an agreement to buy a fairly large tract of land further west out past Versailles, and things were moving along pretty well until the local village/town started laying down demands (like rights of way right throught the middle of the tract) so that plan was abandoned. I wonder if in the end they don't end up going out east near Disneyland. Given the type of development out there that has grown up around Disneyland, perhaps those jurisdictions would be more amendable to our temple.
