Teaching Gospel Doctrine the next two weeks

I'm pretty nervous about it.

For context, I'm somewhere between SeattleUte and normal believing Mormons (probably right in the middle). I'm not too concerned about being the "one and only true," and quite frankly I don't buy a lot of it, but there sure are some attractive faith-based propositions the church makes that keep me interested.

I haven't attended GD in five years due to an argument I got into with a GD teacher (I told you I was like SU)....

I'm sure you'll do fine. You'd be surprised at how orthodox you get when you are entrusted with espousing the church's standard line. Plus, if you dont believe it that much you'll just skip that part. And you'll be kind to everyone in the class. It's part of the tradition that teachers welcome all questions and comments.

Teach what you are comfortable teaching. Use the phrases "the church teaches" and "the scriptures teach" for anything you don't really believe but need to address.
