My town had a little street fair today where a few blocks are closed off and booths are sold, live music, food, etc. As we arrived we started at the far and and stopped to listened to a little choir of ten or so women, acapella and unmiked (heaven knows they didn't need either) sing some gospel. Oh did they kill it, just goose bumpy stuff. Stuff that I don't think you can do it you aren't a southern black woman. Awesome and very authentic. I know this is a "water is wet" comment, but we have nothing like that.
Then not 50 feet down a nice looking guys in his 50s in an athletic polo shirt and jeans stepped near us as we went by with our baby stroller and said "would you mind if I offer a prayer for your baby." We said sure. He offered a prayer so beautiful that Super was crying by the end. I hope I say something half as nice when I bless him tomorrow.
Beauty is everywhere. I really love sincere expressions of faith.
