And you all thought Mormons were the crazy ones.......hahahahahahhahaha....."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

But maybe it's not so funny. They may be pillaging a truly important find of some sort. The group claims that carbon dating proves the relics are 4,800 years old, meaning they date to around the same time the ark was said to be afloat. Mt. Ararat has long been suspected as the final resting place of the craft by evangelicals and literalists hoping to validate biblical stories.
Yeung Wing-Cheung, from the Noah's Ark Ministries International research team that made the discovery, said: "It's not 100 percent that it is Noah's Ark, but we think it is 99.9 percent that this is it."When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

Wait. I thought carbon-dating was flawed somehow."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

I'm sure it's related to some Zoroastrian monastery located at 4,000 meters.

What do you know, not only is it not the ark, but it is a deliberate hoax.

I expect better than this from my creationists.

I just noticed that foxnews was the outlet that reported this story. that is funny.
I don't know which is less credible....the original story being reported or the link to "paleobabble," a blog that "debunks" archeology using private and unsubstantiated emails.
Did the discovery team find any remnants of Cain's lifeboat?Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Nth hand information from a blog is what you're using to "debunk" the story? Look, I am extremely skeptical about the FoxNews story, for obvious reasons, but your attempt to knock it down is downright hilarious.Originally posted by woot View PostWhat do you know, not only is it not the ark, but it is a deliberate hoax.

Well, it's people working with the team, who are crazy creationists themselves and would like nothing better than for it to really be the ark. But yes, the whole thing could be made up, just like the original story. I'll await better evidence anxiously.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostNth hand information from a blog is what you're using to "debunk" the story?
