    serve.ldschurch.org

This website just soft-launched today. It's basically a method of using the Internet for members and others worldwide to volunteer for church projects. There are half a dozen or so opportunities out there but more to come.

Check it out if you're interested.

no dice for me, either (mozilla).

Fix this quickly. I want to serve as soon as possible! I am thinking of popping by to visit some people tonight. What's the worst that could happen?

DOn't go too early, you want them to settle down after dinner and get the kids in bed. 9pm should be about right.

Fixed. The domain is lds.org, not ldschurch.org. serve.lds.org should work.

I'm not trying to be critical here, so please keep that in mind....is the 'service' going to be internet based editing? Will there be other service opportunities or only web projects? I assume the service is to make the church publications cheaper for the general membership, no?

I was hoping it was like a craigslist.

                    Moving. Need help!

Please let me know if you could help me move. I haven't packed anything and need to be out by tomorrow. I won't be there, I have to leave town right now. Address is 1234 address drive.

                    Thanks Elders!

The intent long term is to open it up such that any church department would be able to leverage this for whatever projects they come up with. It will all be done over the web so it would have to be somethng that can be done electronically but beyond that it's wide open.
