  • 18 down 6 more to go

Tomorrow is the 18 month mark for my son. It feels like he has been gone forever and I have really missed him. He's been a ZL and is now a DL so he's working hard. He tells me he hates the numbers game they play out there but that's the only thing he's really ever complained about. He's currently in La Crosse Wisconsin which is only his fourth area. It's been a lot better experience for him than it's been for his parents but I'm happy he choose to go. His brother has started working on his papers so on the one hand this last six months can't go fast enough and on the other I need it to slow down.

Amazing. I remember your posting on CG about him putting in his papers and getting ready to go. Now he is in the home stretch.

I am sure it will be nice to have him back. What is he going to do when he returns? Work or school?

I am two years younger than my older brother. I went into the MTC the same day my parents were supposed to go pick him up. They dropped me off on Feb. 5 and picked him up on Feb 6.

      Kind of a bummer.

He's going to BYUI and then he wants to be a nurse anesthetist. I think he likes the hours and the free time to play golf.

Well, the good thing about him being in LaCrosse, Wisconsin is that he won't realize how much Rexburg sucks.

Wow, time flies. Maybe not for you when it comes to getting to hang out with your son again, but it seems just like yesterday to me when he got his call. Sounds like a heck of a kid. Your wife must be a really special person.

Is he in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin mission?

He's been gone that long? Wow.

It sounds like you've got a solid kid. I'm sure you and your wife are very proud and rightfully so.

Good for him. My brother-in-law is doing the same thing. Though he doesn't golf.

It doesn't seem like 18 months since you posted about him leaving.

And probably the money. That's not a bad career right there.
