We had a freezing rain last night and school was canceled. It is warming up and starting to melt, but I made the unilateral decision to cancel mutual and cub scouts tonight. I hope the true reason I did it was for the kid's safety, but I'm worried I just didn't want to go back to the church again. I literally spent 26 hours at the church building Sat-Monday (Tithing Settlement, ward party, church, and funeral). I'm a little burned out right now.

Due to an ice storm, our BP decided to call off church last Sunday at 10:40 and church started at 11:00. Who knows how many people ended up driving to church anyway given how late the message went out? We were 30 seconds from leaving the house.Comment

My bishop canceled the night before church. High council speakers didn't have to make the 2 hour drive in what was supposed to be a huge snow storm. Turned out to be sunny and beautiful and the kids and I spent a bunch of time playing in the snow outside before I left for the monday night football game (9 hour drive).Originally posted by Indy Coug View Post

Yes the next two weeks are optional for the individual classes or quorums (none are having it). So that means 3 Wednesdays in a row away from the church for me. This may be my longest stretch of not going to mutual in almost 9 nine years.Originally posted by The_Tick View PostComment
