  • Anyone use facebook to fulfill calling

I did as found out someone that friended me less active person were she lives and bday is on facebook so I can request records.

Heard from Marlin K Jensen in Stake Conference Ice Cream consumption needs to go down. Than at end now you will go home and eat your ice cream. That was Saturday evening session and he was talking about word of wisdom and brought that up. Jokingly.

Sunday after new stake president was called. I didn't get it. Person did was High Priests group leader in his ward just been in stake 6 and a half years. I didn't even get interviewed.

Am still Ward Membership Clerk. Marlin praised his said if everyone was as good as him would be no lost and unkknowns in the church. A Former one of his and secretary when he was sp.

He did enjoy football game at local high school. Too bad kids I knew werent the ones that he saw perform. Game took place just before conference.

But said this is not the church of latter day status and all callings are important. So mine is too. Him and Ronald J Hammond area Seventy said as much and praised Amish work that is all of equal worth. When people say my son just got made district leader that is when he mentioned status.

I was only area leader for the last 2 months of my mission. There goes my chance for being sp.

But i did use facebook to fulfill my calling.

    Another classic grapevine.

I know there is some chiasmus in this post somewhere.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
