  • Missionary experiences...

As most of you know, and some of you might not, my daughter had a friend join the church in January of this year. This friend had been on multiple AYSO and Club soccer teams with my daughter and also on the HS team. I have had a chance to coach her on various teams also. She is very close to our family.

It was fun ending last year and starting this year out with a teenage friend taking the discussions in our home. I had the honor of baptizing her in January and it was a fun event in our home.

Well we found out last week that another one of my daughters friends has decided to take the discussions and had the 1st one last night at another members home. She has some questions that the Elders didn't answer to her satisfaction last night so she is coming over to our house for dinner on Sunday night to sit down and visit with my family to get answers to some questions that she has. (They aren't difficult questions, just stuff that she doesn't understand/looking for clarification.)

She was excited to know that I was an "Elder" once and wants to come and talk about it. She also asked if she can look at some of my mission photos and talk with me about what being a missionary is like.

She is going to be a great addition to the ward and I think she is going to make a great member missionary.

$20 says that either you or one of the new young'uns will be asked to speak at the next stake conference.

      You owe me 20.00.

      Stake conference is this Sunday.

We are the rarest of missionary families too....both of these YW have something in common that isn't normaly found in most LDS wards. Anyone wanna guess what it is?

You're awful, Tick. This is a touching story; how dare you torment us with a line like that?
