INFRARED! Mine has one IR and one normal burner + an IR rotisseries. Sear on the IR and then cook on lower heat the rest of the way on the normal burner.Originally posted by kccougar View PostMy wife and kids are buying me a new grill for my birthday. I bought a Traeger wood pellet grill for myself for Father's day. I am now officially part of the Traeger cult. It is wonderful."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

By the way, KC, I am now addicted to BBQ sauce from Oklahoma Joe's. I bought a couple of bottles when I was there and now I order it online. Cowtown flavor:

We got a Weber E-310 earlier this year. I love Weber's quality. Having to assemble it myself taught me what a truly great product they make. No cheap plastic parts, and all the parts fit perfectly.
It is a bit pricy and I normally wouldn't have spent that much, but we ran a natural gas line and bought the natural gas version, so I figured since it was pretty much fixed in place I should get the best I could afford because upgrading down the road would be hard.
It gets hot fast and cooks evenly. We use mostly eat burgers and steaks. I don't have the patience for slow cooking.
