  • Sad news: Ottavio's in Provo closing

    http://www.heraldextra.com/business/...3786fa440.html

I will miss all the yummy meals, but fortunately I will soon be able to purchase many of them pre-packaged from Costco.
    Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

This reminds me of the movie Rataouille.

Bummer. I had my first date with my wife there.

Nuts. I took a date there once. Good place.

I'm not sad. La Dolce Vita is literally around the corner. I took a date to Ottavio's once and it was pretty bad.

I ate at the one in American Fork about 2 years ago and thought it was awful.

I ate there once on a date and was not impressed.

              Terrible service and average food.

Maybe I just hit it on a bad night.

The best date restaurant I've ate at in the past 3 months was Bombay House in Provo. Great food, perfect lighting and a nice relaxing atmosphere.

And tasty candy-covered fennel. But that's not unique to Bombay House.

Ottavios wasn't very good. I definately liked Dolce Vita better. The Ottavio's in AF lasted for a very short time and the restaurant that replaced it (La Vigna) is even worse.

Every time I see the sign "La Vigna" I laugh. Just to close. I know I am immature.

I really liked their marsalas, especially the veal.

Maybe I'm easy to please, but I ate there three times and enjoyed it all. One trip was a buffet-style wedding dinner that included a little of everything, and it was all good.

Holy crap! In the picture in the article that is my father and mother in law with my brother in law. I knew they loved that place, most times that we are in Provo together we eat there.

I think this was my brother in laws last supper before going to the MTC.
