    Diego's

Had to go to the DMV in Provo yesterday so took y'all up on your recommendation. I approve wholeheartedly. I will go back ... many times.

What did you get? Lebowski loves the fish tacos. It was also there at Diego's where JL imparted some very valuable fountain drink wisdom. He demonstrated the technique of filling your cup 5/6 full of Diet Coke and 1/6 full of lemonade. The man is a genius.

Did you not find Diego's to be overpriced? Ever since they opened in their new location I've found this to be the case.

Compared to taco shops elsehwere ... sure. But at this point Mexican food in Utah has to be price is not an issue. Hell, it's the same or less than Cafe Rio and it least has some spice to it.

you should try Gallardito (? is that the name?) just down the road a few clicks north on university. It used to be an Argentinean place, but now it's just grub mexican.

$6.90 for a combo plate including a drink with free refills? Seems pretty cheap to me.

Don't forget a slice of lime.

I am kind of partial to the al pastor tacos now. And lengua. It's all good.

Mine too. There is a pretty good Mexican place in Post Falls, Idaho that Cel and I go to about once a week. Kind of a hole in the wall place. They are very good and very authentic. They only have about 7 tables. The owner is often at the store and even waits tables once in a while. My only complaint about the place is that he never liked al pastor growing up so he won't put them on his menu. Great carne asada and carnitas, but no al pastor. It is a bummer.

I wonder why some entrepreneurial latinos have not put together Provo's first legit taco truck. Set up shop somewhere near campus, sell your tacos for 80 cents or so.....clean up all year long. asada and carnitas....YUM!

I am jonesing for tacos now. We are headed down to campus for the afternoon....maybe we will stop off at Diego's. I love the marketing power of CUF.

A month or so ago while driving to work down Center St Provo I passed a taco truck. Can't remember the name though.

You see them in SLC on occasion. There's a cart that used to be on the south east corner of the Sears downtown kind of where that lame 18 and up club is. Eaten dollar tacos there a few times and they were decent.

Al pastor tacos for 1.55 each seems resonable to me when taco bell is charging .99 for what they claim is a taco. I heart Diego's.
