  • Junior Prom dinner suggestion

I'm trying to recommend a few good spots for my son to take his group for Junior Prom on Friday. The dance is downtown. I'm thinking something smaller but nice - not extremely expensive. Like Em's on Capitol Hill.

Update - two of the guys in his group are on a pretty limited budget. So the new challenge is something cheap but not so casual that they won't be freaks in their prom outfits (like that's even possible). I suggested Michelangelo's on Main. Maybe Cafe Molise?

Then your fathers grandson has the solution to all his problems.

He and his group are eating brunch at our house before they head out on an activity for the day so they want to go to a restaurant for dinner.

Brunch and an activity, then dinner and the prom (and whatever comes after :condom: )? Seems like a strange custom among your people.

I think its weird, but that's what the kids do these days.

That was one of my suggestions too (it took me forever to remember the name), but prices looked a little steep. It's definitely in the running.

That sucks for that kid, I'd be mortified that my date would order a fancy lemonade, an app, or the most expensive item on the menu.

The best dance meal experience I had was borne from budget concerns.

Girls choice, they transformed a barn into a restaurant.

They bought rolls, apps, and salads from the best restaurants in town, parents cooked steak, they prepared a 'wine' and a brother was our server.

One of the girls dad had lost his job or something.
