It's healthy and a good low-fat source of protein. I don't mind it but I don't love it. Any ideas to make it a little more palatable?

I think it's disgusting to mix it with any sweet fruit (peaches) so nix that idea off the bat.

This is one food that I want to like but just can't dig it. I don't hate it but I definitely do NOT love it, so I almost always pass it by.

In my case, mixed with fruit is the only palatable way I have had it...peaches, pineapple, berries, etc.

For a more tasty source of low fat protein, eat a turkey patty. Way more delish.

I agree. I like cottage cheese alright. I don't love it either. I do like it on top of canned pears with some grated cheese and a bit of pepper. I think my dad turned me onto that. Still I may eat this once a year.

If you're ever in Atlanta or Nashville, buy some Mayfield Cottage Cheese. It's amazing. They salt it, and it makes all the difference in the world.

We eat Land O' Lakes 2% (Costco has it), and it's pretty good. You can put it through a cheese cloth and use it to make lasagna and stuffed pastas with less fat.

I put so much ground pepper on it that it's barely recognizable.

I love cottage cheese. Slice fresh tomatoes, lop cottage cheese on top, salt and pepper, and pour on good vinaigrette. To quote one polluter here, it's rad and delish!

Eat it with baked beans. Seriously.

I like cottage cheese with fruit, especially grapes, pears or cantaloupe.

Have you tried mixing it with yogurt? Then it just tastes like yogurt, only chunkier.

It's also great on wheat thins, Ritz crackers, or any other cracker. I love cottage cheese on pretty much everything but thighs.

I love it with pepper. Not as much as you maybe, but enough.

I'll bet that cottage cheese is like beer in the sense that it is an acquired taste, but you probably don't need to eat very much of it before it tastes really good. What is it, fat and protein? The body is always going to acquire a taste for a rich supply of that.

It's one of my favorite foods.

Levin is right about it with fresh tomatoes. I put a dash of seasoning salt on it too. Absolutely delicious.
