It's a wreck for the potato farmers this year. We are selling 50lb of spuds for $5.00 to $6.00. The tithing dollars out of eastern Idaho may be down this year.

To many acres were planted and we had a great growing year. Potato prices are not subsidized. We sell about 1.3 million pounds of spuds a day and at a $2.00 to $3.00 loss on every hundred weight run it's a big hit for the farmers. On good years the farmer gets a new pickup, the wives get new Suburbans and everybody's happy.
