This place just opened about a week and a half ago across the street from Liberty Heights Fresh on 11th East in SLC. The cuisine is Spanish, tapas style, and, in the tradition of Pago is from mostly local and farm fresh ingredients.
We went for my wife's birthday with another couple and between the four of us tried about a dozen different dishes. Some standouts were an empanada with chorizo and egg (comically small, almost bite-sized, but delicious,) a carne de asador skewer with pork belly and onion (like big chunks of the best bacon you've ever tasted) some chorizo-stuffed calamari, fresh churros with caramel sauce and a biscotti topped with an avocado mousse and bits of mango.
The place has a really fun atmosphere and while right now they only take reservations for groups of eight or more, we only waited about 20-30 minutes when we arrived at 6:15 on a Saturday. However, by the time we left a couple hours later, the place was jam-packed.
Anyone else tried this place yet?
