Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

There were virtually none of them in PA (at least that I saw) and we never ate at one the time we lived there. There are quite a few of them where I live now.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostI don't even know where a dairy queen is located.

Especially on the Sabbath. What better way to pass the hour between Sacrament and Priesthood?Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostEven the Sabbath?

Take home point from this graphic:
McDonald's is much better at its jobs than parents are at theirs. At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Not in Centerville. We know the owners of the Centerville DQ, and they have never been opened on Sunday (they are opened on Saturdays, so the sabbath comment doesn't apply if you are jewish or 7th Day Adventist).Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostEven the Sabbath?
They are remain one of the top earning DQ's in the country, despite being open one day less per week, and a bunch of growth in the area such as In n' Out. Most nights, their parking lot is full, and teh drive-up line is out of the parking lot.

lol. I love these sorts of faith promoting stories. If my old EQP is to be believed, the highest grossing Wendy's in the entire country is located in Highland, UT...and is also closed on Sundays.Originally posted by chrisrenrut View PostNot in Centerville. The story is a lose/lose. Either it is false (most likely) or it is true and the people of a relatively small place like centerville are incredibly fat.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Or they've learned how to eat fast food without breaking their diet. Simple substitutions can go a long way. Fries? Try subbing in a healthy garden fresh side salad or baked potato (skip the sour cream and butter!).Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostThe story is a lose/lose. Those subs aren't going to bring in the revenue. We are talking about one of the highest grossing DQs in the entire country! And as anyone in retail knows, stores that are located in low density suburbs are always going to do better than stores that are located in high density areas. Especially when they are open one fewer day a week.Originally posted by YOhio View PostOr they've learned how to eat fast food without breaking their diet. Simple substitutions can go a long way. You don't beleive something written on the internet by an anonymous poster? Shocking! Don't believe your EQP? Blasphemous!Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Postlol. Of course, any fact told 3rd person will be met with some amount of dubiousness.
I'm not implying that being closed Sunday's is the reason, just that they do very well despite the one day handicap.
The Centerville DQ is a huge tradition for a place to grab a meal or treat for large mormon families or contingencies:
For FHE
After a baseball/tee ball/soccer game
After a Young Mens/Young Womens activity
After Priesthood, Young Womens, or Relief Society general sessions

And yet they have no problem staying open late enough on Saturday that their employees are still working when the clock strikes Sunday. If they really wanted to prove the Lord, they should close at 10pm on Saturday.Originally posted by chrisrenrut View PostNot in Centerville.
