  • Any Good Salad Bars in Utah County?

I'm trying to eat healthier and I like salad bars. Are there any good ones in Utah County?

Yes, but going to Tucanos for the salad bar is a crime against humanity.

I've only been there a couple of times, and have never actually looked up the nutritional value to tell you how good it is - but I've enjoyed Cafe Zupas the two times I've been there.

Not necessarily a traditional salad bar - but some good salads.

No doubt he will recommend the Olive Garden.

                No, it's the bread pudding.

I couldn't go to Tucanos without eating a ton of meat. As for Upchuck-o-Rama; meh!

Those who know my eating habits will know that I would consider Olive Garden salad on par with any other salad. I am an anti-vegetarian.

You're mocking me, but I guarantee I'm not the only one who likes the Chuck. Even on this board...it's just that the food snobs have shamed most of us into silence.

It is true that there is no shortage of people who love to eat as much sub-par food as their dollar will allow. I don't think anybody will argue that with you.

Exactly. I am a charter member of People for the Ethical Treatment of Plants(PETP).

                              Consider the following:
                              1. Animals have teeeth, claws, legs, etc. to defend themselves with. Plants are stuck in the ground and lack the intelligence or instinct to fight back.
                              2. Animals consume oxygen and produce carbon dioxide. Plants are the opposite.
                              3. In many cases with plants, what we eat are embryos. And people don't think we should eat veal!
                              4. Factory farms for animals are all in the news as inhumane right now. We have been farming plants for hundreds of years. It is barbaric I tell you!
                              5. DDT and other pesticides. Ridiculous!

I could go on but I think you get the point.
