    LOTR Movie Marathon Food

Yes, I'm a LOTR fanatic. . .thanks nikuman. And we are having a president's day weekend movie viewing marathon with our LOTR loving friends. Fellowship Friday night, Two Towers Saturday night, and Return of the King Sunday night. I'm trying to plan food to go with each night.

For the final night, I thought a feast. . with cornish game hens. nikuman suggested doing the first night ala hobbit feast. When should I do the lembas bread though? I was thinking that would be best for Two Towers.

Definitely two towers. To make them extra authentic, get sakura leaves or similar to wrap them in.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

Hopefully for Sauron this will end up the same as your Tebow party menu.

Ah yes. Can't forget that! Almost 13 year old boys in the home are like hobbits in that respect, ha ha. Bacon donuts for second breakfast!

You could probably come up with some kind of deviled egg recipe with a design in it and call them "Sauron's Eyes." If you mixed paprika with a little bit of oil and then extruded it in lines out from the center of the egg yolk it might work. You'd need a fine nozzle though.

Wouldn't a Hobbit feast include coneys? Anybody want to contribute a couple of pet rabbits for that?

Soccermom this is rad! I think Surfah would give me the silent treatment for a week if I even suggested such a party. He thinks my love of LOTR makes me the biggest nerd ever. But this event sounds qwesome, I wish I could go (Surfah could stay home with the kids)!

Maybe you need a President's Day weekend getaway to CA. We have a comfy air mattress.
