The official No Longer Available Candy Bar (and other snacks) thread...

Marathon Bar. It was one of my favorites in my younger days.

Hard to believe that it's been 30+ years that Mars stopped making this awesome candy bar. The wrapper had an 8" ruler on the back side to prove that the Marathon Bar was indeed 8" of twisted chocolate and caramel.

For the pop culture trivia crowd, Marathon John was played by John Wayne's kid, Patrick.

    I miss this one...

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Though it's not a candy bar, I was a big fan of the Hostess pastry Choco Bliss.

Good idea, YO. If a moderator could kindly amend the title to include pastry and snacks, it would be appreciated.

yes! I didn't like chocolate as a kid until this came out. It was good. I can't believe zingers survived and these didn't

I used to love that Gatorade flavored gum. I don't think they even make it anymore.

I would have mentioned the Mars bar, but Wikipedia says it was brought back in 2010. I guess that shows how many full-size candy bars I purchase nowadays.

I think the only place you can buy it is at the cash register at Sports Authority (but it isn't Gatorade brand; tastes the same, though).

Are Zotz still around? I loved those things, especially the fizzy center.

                        Still around. And still delicious.

Remember those candy bars you could sell as a fundraiser for boy scouts back in the 80s? I'm specifically thinking of the ones where you had four different bars to sell: Krisp, Caramel, Almonds, and Chocolate. There was nothing particularly special about them, other than the fact that you could peel the aluminum leaf off the wrapper and stick it on stuff.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

They came in the cool cardboard cases with built-in handles.

I dont remember the brand name but I remember many scouts eating them without selling them.
