    Which food court is better?

Having grown up near the old Cottonwood mall, I am partial to a large fresh squeezed lemonade from Hot Dog on a Stick with a slice of pepperoni pizza from the authentic NY pizza place, Sbarro. Cottonwood mall didn't have very good depth though, with only a sandwich place, taco place, and chinese place for variety. The arcade was pretty good.

Fashion Place mall has really good depth, with a wide variety of offerings but doesn't have an Orange Julius, like Gateway. Sometimes it's nice to have an old standby like McDonalds or Taco Time, but usually I'm in the mood for something I can't get at anytime of the day, almost anywhere in the valley. Crossroads mall had the best arcade, The Gold Mine. Hopefully if will be there again when the new mall opens.

Fashion Place has a Chick fil A, Sbarro, and some other decent places. I was peeved when the got rid of Edo. FP used to have a great arcade called Tilt. I spent a lot of time in that place.

I'm anxious to see what the food court is like at City Center.

Isn't the CCC food court pretty much all up and running?

I have eaten beef yakisoba and beef bowls at the Edo in the Gateway Food Court. Maybe I need to try it again. Coming from SoCal, I was used to eating at Yoshinoya for all my Japanese fast food cravings. I think the people that worked at Edo were all Spanish speakers

That mall at 106th S...food court kind of depressing even though it is huge. Something about the layout always makes it seem abandoned. It has Orange Julius, which is a staple of any good food court. Same with Hot Dog on a Stick. The only thing I get at Hot Dog on a Stick is the lemonade but every respectable food court needs a HDOAS.

University mall has a very underrated food court. You have staples like HDOAS, Orange Julius, pretzel time, sbarros, as well as a chinese and japanese food contigent. What sets it apart is the upscale establishments like chick fila, charleys grilled subs, arbys, taco bell and my personal favorite the generic hamburger joint. That right no name just a sign hat says hamburgers. Like any good generic hamburger joint the also Gyros.

whats the story with that bizarre chinese restaurant adjacent to the Uni Mall parking lot, just North of the mall. If you pull into the mall parking lot off State Street, it is sitting off the road nestled in between a bunch of bushes. Looks really terrible. What is it called?

Chicken and beef, no veggies. I miss that place. They had one in the Provo mall but it got replaced. I'd hit it occasionally when I was near the Salt Lake malls, but I just tried Southtown a couple weeks ago and it was gone.

I like Charley's Grilled Subs, but didn't it used to be called Charley's Steakery?

The founder of Charley's (Charley) is Korean.

Agree. And there is a corollary too this. Any eating establishment within a mile of Cafe Rio will be automatically include in its black hole of sucktitude, thus disualifed.

So clearly the best food court cannot be located in Utah, as I doubt there is a food court in the state over a mile from a Dia Rio.

Chen's Noodle House. I just looked on google maps. Wow, what a depressing place. Is it any good? has anyone tried it?

I have never seen more than one or two cars there. One of them is a delivery truck. Maybe I will try it this week and give you a review.
