Oh, yeah, I probably would have made the same decision. It was the way my wife exclaimed that Smith's didn't have it that I'm eyerolling over. I have an entire bag of candied ginger from TJs. I bought it for this same brine last year, used 3-4 pieces, and still have the rest. It is not crystallized, though. It has the texture of a sour-patch kid. Probably not the same thing, but it worked great for the brine. Definitely very pungent.Originally posted by falafel View Post
