Restaurants are really trying to pull people in. We went to Outback Saturday and for $10 I got a 6oz steak, some calm chowder soup, a sweet potato and all the bread I could eat. It really was pretty good.

And for only $2 more you can upgrade to the frantic chowder. A steal of a deal. Seriously though, I do love Outback's baked sweet potato.Originally posted by RC Vikings View PostRestaurants are really trying to pull people in. That's what a Big Mac or QP value meal with a large fry and large coke cost in 1991.Originally posted by Fiyero View PostFor those on an even more limited budget, McDonalds has launched $2.99 value meals."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. I remember as a kid when we would go to a McDonald's on what is now "Bulldog Blvd" in Provo and I would get a Big Mac, fries, and drink or a shake and pay for it with $1 and get change back.

I remember eating my first Big Mac at a birthday party. No longer eating from a happy meal, I felt like I had arrived.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostI remember as a kid when we would go to a McDonald's on what is now "Bulldog Blvd" in Provo and I would get a Big Mac, fries, and drink or a shake and pay for it with $1 and get change back.

Do you remember all the words to that jingle "big mac, fish filet, quarter pounder, french fries . . .?"Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostI remember as a kid when we would go to a McDonald's on what is now "Bulldog Blvd" in Provo and I would get a Big Mac, fries, and drink or a shake and pay for it with $1 and get change back.

Doesn't ring a bell.Originally posted by Soccermom View PostDo you remember all the words to that jingle "big mac, fish filet, quarter pounder, french fries . . .?"
This was the first and only McDonald's in the valley. We would often drop by when we made a trip to Provo. This was back when they had the big golden arches and kept a running total of how many millions they had served on a sign in front of the restaurant. They eventually tore it down. I think there is an Arby's there now. And a newer McDonald's across the road."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right?
