I am interesting in trying that. We love salmon and it would be fun to try something new.

What do you use for the marinate?

Also, that seems like a long time on the grill for salmon. Do you monitor the internal temps? I typically pull at 130 degrees. Worst thing you can do to salmon is overcook.

I marinate with a combo of either Bullseye or Sweet Baby Rays (whichever Costco has), apricot bbq sauce, honey or brown sugar (can't tell much difference), and Trager Salmon Shake.

I plan about an 50-55 minutes from when I start to warm up the grill, for 10 minutes, until I pull it off. It works great for thicker pieces of salmon, but does tend to dry the thinner pieces. Sometimes I will pull the thinner pieces before the last temperature change, but one of my kids likes his salmon a little well done, so usually I just leave it. I've tried monitoring the internal temp, but the probes usually tear up the meat too much.

marinate is verb, correct? I was speaking in present tense, so is that no the correct usage?

I always imagine this is what things must look like to DH.

I did this about 6 months ago, I gave them $40 instead of $20 and it was such a hit that a couple months later my BiL in Bend called to ask me if I'd really given the missionaries $100 for dinner. My BiL said that they had the missionaries over and one had just been transferred from Eugene and said there was a guy from Hoodoo there that gave $100 for dinner appointments.

I'm afraid if I gave them money for dinner, they'd stay on my porch until I agreed to drive them somewhere for them to spend it.

Since we have moved to Utah, I've never seen a single missionary at Church or in my ward.

Really? We now have one set of missionaries assigned for just our stake, which is only 5 wards and an area of maybe 3 miles radius. I'm amazed that they are able to keep themselves occupied.

I hadn't really thought of it until reading this thread. I see missionaries out and about when driving the kids to school or whatnot but never once in our ward or even in our building at another ward. I've also never seen them in my neighborhood. I don't know how they are assigned but maybe my ward/stake doesn't have enough non members to warrant it. If missionaries came to our house I couldn't even point them to a non member that lives in my ward boundaries. Some probably exist but I don't know of any.

Golf cart HTer could use a missionary visit.

He hasn't visited us since May. I don't want to do anything to disturb whatever it is he is doing.
