  • Should this forum close on Fast Sundays?

I made the mistake of reading Katy Lied's 8 Things thread yesterday before F&T Meeting, and thus spent much of the meetings block, including my own GD lesson (you may decide for yourself what GD means), thinking about teriyaki, roquefort cheese and aged beef. To ensure greater fast day righteousness, perhaps we should simply shut down this particular forum beginning at sundown on Saturday, re-opening at dusk the following day for some post-prandial banter.

Which reminds me, I recall that the Morris Center (and, I presume, the Helaman Halls cafeteria), which normally offered lunch and dinner seatings on Sundays, eliminated the dinner seating, serving only lunch, on Fast Sundays. Apparently according the BYU Food Services, you had to fast 24 hours, but not 24 hours in a row.

Alternatively, you could just choose not to fast. I'm still working on that commandment.

      Fasting sucks.

Which is why I have chosen to make it my last area of focus in my quest for spiritual perfection. You gotta prioritize.

          lol. I love this mantra!

From now on, I will simply tell my wife that I am trying to master all the other stuff and get it out of the way so that I can really focus 100% on fasting and get it right.

Man, fasting is a toughie for me. I love food and I love to eat.

PAC, maybe you should just keep the sabbath day and spend time with your family, serve others and magnify your calling instead of surfing online.

The Savior went amongst the sinners. I have chosen to follow His lead.
