My sister and her husband have been in town and wanted to taste some of the local foods. After seeing Throwdown and Man vs. Food visit Buz & Ned's BBQ in Richmond they wanted to go there. Man that is probably the best barbecue I have ever had. The ribs are amazing. I took my brother-in-law's leftovers to work yesterday earning his ire.
Anyway, last night they wanted to go to Quaker Steak and Lube after seeing the Atomic Challenge on TV. It's mainly a wings place with a car themed atmosphere. We got the Atomic wings sampler. You have to sign a waiver before you can even try them. I can usually handle hot food. But I couldn't even finish one wing. I was crying. My fingers burned from holding the damn thing. My mouth was on fire. My lips were on fire. My cheeks where sauce touched were on fire. Breathing was painful and felt like fire. After about 3 glasses of water and 20 minutes did the pain subside. Until this morning. You know something is hot, when it burns on the way out about as bad as it does going down.
