    Blue Cheese/ Gorgonzola/ Roquefort

Loving this stuff, I've been on kick lately. Lots of crumbles in my tomato bisque. Yum.

Love it? Hate it? Ideas for it?

I love the stuff. Love. it. I haven't yet met a blue cheese I didn't love.

My recipe for Gorgonzola pork chops is in this thread.

This looked amazing to me, too, over at Smitten Kitchen.

Also, blue cheese sauces go great with steak.

I have blue cheese with everything, roast beef, turkey, fries, steaks, potatoes. I'm a fanatic.

So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I like blue moons, blue skies, blue bloods and blue eyes. I like bluebells, blue collars, and maybe even blue suede shoes, but I can't stand blue cheese.

Not sure how I missed your Pork Chop recipe the first time around. I can't wait to try it. They sound like they are pretty dang delicious.

The funny thing for me about all the different kinds of blue cheese is that up until I was about 24 i hated the stuff. Now I can't get enough of it. I use it often when I cook.

I hope the recipe doesn't disappoint, though I doubt it will.

I like it in small doses and in the right recipes. It's something I would never eat on its own. Like, I wouldn't just grab a pinch and pop it in my mouth like I might with other cheeses.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

the taste, if you can call it that.

There are people who don't like Fresca or blue cheese? I'm not sure God would make anyone that way.

We are a blue cheese family. My girls ask for gorgonzola every time we open the fridge. I just made my oldest a "special" grilled cheese with gorgonzola on it.

My favorite salad is one with farmer's greens, grilled tri-tip, walnuts, chickpeas, and gorgonzola. Roquefort is good, but a little strong to have on its own, and its consistency is better suited for bread.

Blue cheese is a great accompanying cheese; for snacking, I'm a bigger fan of the harder, nuttier cheeses like Comte, Cantal, and Gruyere.
