I went to Cafe Rio with my BYU Coed while moving her into her aparement last month. First time. I liked it okay. I got the BBQ pork burrito. I think I'll try something less BBQ next time.Originally posted by YOhio View PostYou haven't posted about Cafe Rio in a while. Just wondering if you still hate it.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Cafe Rio is overrated IMO, but people in Utah seem to love it. People in Utah would also line up for Jack In The Box.Originally posted by YOhio View PostYou haven't posted about Cafe Rio in a while. Just wondering if you still hate it.
P.S. Why are you even talking about Cafe Rio? I hadn't heard they opened up one in Dayton. Don't you have to drive to the next town to buy "fast food"?Last edited by Coastal Ute; 09-23-2010, 08:04 PM."75-10 the last two games? Is my math right? Cafe Rio opened here in Boise last Friday. My wife and I are fans, so we're happy about that. Nonetheless, I really wish you wouldn't pick on FM like that, YO. Very poor form."Seriously, is there a bigger high on the whole face of the earth than eating a salad?"--SeattleUte

BBQ pork? You sure you ate at Cafe Rio? I mean, FM knows BBQ. I'm pretty sure he would know if there was BBQ in that pork.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostI went to Cafe Rio with my BYU Coed while moving her into her aparement last month. First time. It was that sweet pork barbacoa; seemed like BBQ. It was too sweet for me. I wish they just had a regular pork option.Originally posted by falafel View PostBBQ pork? You sure you ate at Cafe Rio? I was in Utah over the summer and was told by some of my ward's recent transplants that Cafe Rio was the Ambrosia of the Gods. I had the barbacoa pork, which I didn't like too much. It tasted like they had added about a quarter cup of sugar to my portion.
My wife didn't like it too much either, but she is a very big fan of Bajio.

If there is anything you should have learned on this board, it's to NEVER order the sweet pork at Cafe Rio. Get a steak salad with the cilantro ranch dressing.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostIt was that sweet pork barbacoa; seemed like BBQ. It was too sweet for me. I can't really tell much difference between the Bajio and Cafe Rio. Both are way too sweet.Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostI was in Utah over the summer and was told by some of my ward's recent transplants that Cafe Rio was the Ambrosia of the Gods.
