  • You have got to be kidding me ...

Just got this email regarding the cafeteria here at work.

The Cafeteria Staff is listening. Many of you have requested Sushi as an option on the menu. Voila! California Rolls are now an available option in the Grab N Go section of the cafeteria.

Fellow Seaweed and rice lovers, enjoy!

If you were to ask me what the LAST food on earth I'd want to pick up from a workplace cafeteria would be, I'm pretty sure sushi would be it. This is the same cafeteria that sometimes has wilted lettuce in the salad bar. Nasty.

When I worked at Vonage we had sushi day twice a month and it very good. The "cafeteria" there overall was excellent. Brick wood burning pizza over for fresh and authentic NY pizza and calzones, a grill with made to order ribeye, burgers, grilled chicken, regular full meals, great specialties daily, and prepacked to go like fruits, salads, desserts, veggie cups etc. There was a Starbucks inside the building, and company sponsored BBQ's almost daily during the summer. One of the things I miss most about that company was the cafeteria.

Yeah this is not that kind of cafeteria.
