I made stir-fry with brown rice yesterday, and liked it. I've never had it with Thai curry, though.
I love brown rice. I like the chewiness and the texture, and even the slightly nutty taste. I'm not a rice expert like many here. I really do prefer brown rice to white rice. Our cooker in the US we would just have to add extra water and let it cook about 45 minutes to an hour longer than we would white. Here in the Philippines, we have a crappy cooker yet it makes brown rice perfect and in about half the time as our US machine. I have no idea how or why.
