  • Healthy, tasty snacks

What are some healthy snacks you/your family enjoy? My weight is beyond what I want it to be, and I need to start making better choices.

Any and every suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

A thick slice of deli turkey with a couple of slices of red bell pepper, red onion, and avocado inside. Roll it up like a burrito.

Blue Diamond has a series of "Bold" almonds out that I am in love with right now. They are about 250 calories a serving with a good amount of protein. My favorites are Jalapeño Smokehouse and Wasabi Soy, but I find them all to be delicious.

What did you finally break 100?

I like any raw nuts - except peanuts. I esp enjoy hazel nuts/filberts

I may be small, but I'm slow.

I thought those would have a shit ton of sodium in them, but they don't look that bad and 100x more flavorful than raw almonds...

                Habanero almonds: 28 g

                Plain almonds 18g

It looks like I misremembered the calories also as your label post is about 100 lower than what I said.

Fruit had been to doing me well lately.

I know there is a lot of sugar in then, but I don't think all sugar is created equal and neither are calories.

string cheese and yogurt. I need to make sure I get enough calcium.

I have found that any variety of fruits is satisfying (pineapple especially) and maybe a glass of chocolate soy milk.

Lean Cuisine makes these Paninis that are quite good- about 350 calories a pop.

String cheese and baked lays are a healthy, reasonable snack (I always have to exert a little extra willpower to not overload here). Baby carrots are fun to munch on.

Those uncrustables (ages 3 and up) are pretty good too in moderation.

There is no evidence that proves that. In fact, there are more hormones (including estrogen) in cow milk than in soy. It's just that the ones in soy milk come from plants.
