Ever been to La Casita in Springville? I can't vouch for it recently, but I could go for their brand of slightly greasy Mexican food tonight if I were in the area tonight.

We tried this recently and it was quite good:

You can mix your order up by doing a different kind of pizza on each quarter. We tried six different kinds. Our favorite was the pulled pork.

I only know stuff in the Orem/Provo area, but here are a few ideas:

Smash Burger for a slightly higher-end burger (big enough that two smaller kids could share one), El Azteca, Slab Pizza (the "slabs" are a quarter of a pizza, so plenty for two kids to share and usually each slab is under $5), La Dolce Vita, Diego's Taco Shop, Chunga's, Pantrucas (little Chilean place with the cutest owners ever).

I will try to think of some more, but those are what I can think of off the top of my head.

I really like Slab pizza. I would suggest getting whatever you order amped up (hatch new mexico green chili and goat cheese added). My favorite is the 3 meat amped up.

I've wanted to try Slab, but it's a little too close to campus for me. It looks like I'm going to suck it up and go, though.

It is Saturday and you are in the middle of a semester break. Perfect time to make a run for it.

That's what I thought, and my buddy and his wife are Y grads, so it will help us fit in. I told him if he beats up a freshman I'll buy him dinner.

Seriously, Hatch New Mexico green chiles are something special. They get them shipped in and it is amazing how much flavor they add. I actually looked into ordering some chiles, but it is just too damn expensive. It was about $30 a pound to get smoked chiles shipped.

La Casita is solid as Cardiac said. Also for cheap and ok Mexican food, try Los Amigos in South Provo.

El Azteca has been around for as long as I've been alive and probably longer. My first experience with a Mexican restaurant was there with my grandma for my 10th birthday. Good stuff then, and it sounds like they still are now.
