I know this restaurant got name-checked when PaloAltoCougar was deciding on a place to go for a graduation celebration, but I couldn't find any threads by anyone who's actually eaten there. We had some family in town over the weekend and my visiting Aunt had been to Pago when last in town for a medical conference and recommended it. We all enjoyed ourselves quite a bit.

Their motto is "Artisan. Local. Farm Fresh." so a lot of their menu items come from local producers like BUG Farms, Beehive Cheese and the like. I had a fairly amazing short rib that was served over a slaw of cucumbers and sliced apples. It was absolutely perfectly prepared. Mrs. GL had a seared tuna in a lemon basil butter sauce that was also quite tasty. My mother had a chicken dish that was served with these whipped potatoes that were so good, there must have been an entire stick of butter in there.

We had a beet salad and caprese salad (made with a ricotta that night instead of mozz) before the entrees and they were delicious as well. Also, the portions were surprisingly robust for those interested in quantity as well as quality.

Definitely a repeat for us. Anyone else eaten there?
Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.
