  • Ventanas Mexican in Ogden, Utah.

My first experience there was this evening.

I'm headed back when I get a chance.

Small restaurant in the middle of a neighborhood.

At one point, we were the only caucasians in the joint.

People were very friendly and the food we tried was delicious. I'm guessing it's pretty "authentic" based on the cooks, servers, management and most importantly, clientele.

Anyone else been to this restaurant?

My opinion of eating in Ogden keeps going up and up.

It's like nobody's paying attention to Ogden, but meanwhile, it's really starting to get a pretty diverse, independent and quality food scene. I realize that Ogden is not L.A., Seattle, Chicago, New York or Portland. I get that. But it's got a slew of good eateries considering the size of the town, the state in which it is located and the socio-economic make up of the city. Granted, Mexican should be right in it's wheel house.

Not bad. The place that used to be around the corner (Mi Puebla) was better, but it has since moved. The tacos al pastor are pretty good, but the molcajete was, uh, er, off. Much better at El Paisa in West Valley.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.
