  • Liver and Onions

I've never had it. Mom never made it growing up and I haven't ever thought to make it. I think I'm going to give it a shot sometime soon. Does anyone have any tips for me?

Are there other current or once common dishes that people here haven't tried?

Lucky man. It is nasty stuff.

My mother firmly believed that we had to eat it once a week in order to have sufficient iron in our blood. Turns out she was overdosing us on cholesterol:

      Never trust a gut eater.

My mom made liver every now and again. I've never tasted shit, but based on what the liver does I imagine it's a pretty good approximation.

Not too surprising that you don't like liver, considering the regular assault you're waging against your own. So what's on the jukebox tonight?

On the deck tonight. After the last my last disastrous attempt to post without stimuli I'm refraining.

This beer's just ok, but it sucks me in every time with its name.

That is a great backyard. Do you live on a golf course?

What these guys said. It's absolutely horrid. My father made it on occasion; looked edible, almost appealing, but horrid. Very horrid.

If you must satisfy some kind of liver hankering, stick with foie gras.

I don't believe I ever claimed to be the proletariat. Oil man and all that.

I always felt my online persona was more crass nouveau riche.

While I would usually encourage you to do something harmful in order to derive pleasure from watching the resulting damage, I can't even force myself to consider daring you to eat liver. Please, don't do it.

Yohio, I have heard boiled liver is delish. Get a pan, bring the water to roaring boil and drop in generous portions. Cook for 12 minutes.

Please post a full report after trying my recipe
