  • Napa Valley question for NorCal folks or anyone else in the know

If one were interested in flying out to Napa Valley for one night for dinner, where would you go?

I know The French Laundry. Given my usual penchant for last minute-ness I've let this go too long and so I don't think that's an option. So I'm basically looking for other suggestions.

Recommendations in the San Francisco area would be welcome too. Hell, anywhere in the US is open for that matter. The 10 year anniversary snuck up on me and I need to scramble.
There's no such thing as luck, only drunken invincibility. Make it happen.

Tila Tequila and Juggalos, America’s saddest punchline since the South.

    Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday
    Today is Friday, Friday (Partyin’)

    Tomorrow is Saturday
    And Sunday comes afterwards

I thought of that, but we've got a Taco John's here. Plus we celebrated our 9th there.

Any thoughts on Cyrus in Healdsburg? That looks interesting.

Switching gears, how about Seattle? Crush or Tilth? I see they're both James Beard winners. Easier access from here etc. Plus my wife likes Seattle better than the Bay Area.

I wish I could help you. I can't give you a good recommendation. This thread has really put a dent in your street cred.

Yeah, I know. The things we do for the holiest of holies.

Seriously, good luck. Find a nice little B&B in Seattle and head there. That should be romantic enough.

If your wife likes Seattle, go there but stay at Deception Pass.

                    I see.

I'm sure many here would suggest Forage in Salt Lake.
