Tried the new taco place on Main Street where that awful BBQ Place Charlie's used to be. I was really hoping that it would be good as there is no decent Mexican option (and few options for anything) in Lehi. Not my favorite place in Utah for tacos, but still a very good option. They were giving away free Horchata and it was amazing. I have never really liked horchata but this stuff was really good.

Good tacos make Lehi a much better place to live

Good tacos make anywhere a better place to live. Unfortunately, since our move, the best taco place in the city is now a decent distance from us. I still try and make the trek on Saturdays every now and again.
We're trying out a new Mexican place tonight called Mestizo that I'm pretty stoked about. They have cochinita pibil and I haven't had that since my mission.
Also, that place Ventana's that I mentioned in the other thread (25th in Ogden) had the real tacos al pastor (on the spit rubbed with citrus and chiles and served with pineapple) and not the spicy pork -- or whatever the take on it has become in the most states -- that you usually get. I also hadn't had that since being in Mexico. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I actually know of a few places in Utah that have the al pastor cooked on a spit with pineapple. The al pastor at the place Lehi is the spicy pork take on it.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostGood tacos make anywhere a better place to live. I'm happy to report that the cochinita pibil was fantastic. Probably even better than my mission since it was served with huge chunks of fat and dripping in grease.
It was also served with those great pickled red onions that you find on the Yucatan: http://www.chow.com/recipes/10839-pickled-red-onionsSo Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I will have to try this place out this week. I am glad I never stopped to try that BBQ place. I drove by many times but something told me to never stop and try it.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostTried the new taco place on Main Street where that awful BBQ Place Charlie's used to be.
