    doesn't suck anymore.

Honestly. It's nothing like the pizza I remember from 5 years ago.

Try it, try it. You will see.

Agreed. While it's still not my first choice it's much better than it used to be. Also I'm in love with those pasta breadbowls.

Definitely better than it used to be. Not sure how much that is saying, however.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Hmm.. I see the new commercials claiming they are improved, but I dunno. I've never been a fan. Is it a significantly different taste?

I agree. The new crust and sauce are much better.

I still find it to be quite nasty, but it's better than it used to be. Any local joint is still much, much better.

I agree that it is much, much better. My pizza chain of choice however is still Papa Murphys take and bake.

I don't get this. I've never had anything good from Papa Murphy's.

I like the new Domino's. I've had it a few times now. The crust is very tasty. I still prefer Papa Johns I think.

thin crust with their new sauce/crust is infinitely better than the comparably priced hot n ready.

Hey, bad pizza is still pizza. I haven't had Dominos in a while, I'll have to check it out.

I am in woot's boat....at our house we definitely take the "local pizzeria" approach. I can't remember the last time we ordered pizza hut or somesuch. However, I have been intrigued by the latest Domino's advertising campaign.

Specifically, I thought it was very honest for the company to not only reference the negative consumer testing, but to show actual footage of people disparaging the product...."this tastes like cardboard," "the sauce stinks," etc. I can't recall another example of a company doing something so counter-intuitive, even when trying to reinvent itself. It is the complete opposite of one of the most iconic branding exercises of my generation: The Pepsi Challenge.

To the extent that it is possible to root for a pizza chain to do well, I really hope that Domino's has found a formula that works. I am glad to hear of Mrs. Funk's recommendation and subsequent affirmations. I think I will go ahead and order one simply to see what it is about and as a fan of this latest campaign.

One of my biggest complaints about domino's and little sleazers is that their business model requires each pizza to skimp on cheese and toppings. As a result, the pizza is pretty bland. Pizza Hut seems to have no problem loading the pizza, but eating a slice of Pizza Hit pizza is like drinking a cup of grease.

For those that have noticed an improvement...what is different this time around?

The sauce seems a little tastier, and the crust seems less stiff and boardy. The biggest thing is that they cake the garlic butter to the crust. So it's certainly not bland, but it also sort of seems like they're not convinced of this yet, so they're really going crazy with the garlic on the crust.

I wouldn't say that it's the best pizza I've ever eaten, but it's substantially better. We have a Domino's less than a block from us, so it's convenient when we need something fast.

As far as taste, the sauce is much improved and has a good deal more flavor. I liked the texture of crust. The cheese is much less greasy, evincing a higher quality cheese.

Which is the better deal: a Dominos medium two topping for $5.99 or a Papa John's large works for $10?
