Speaking of chocolate. I recently purchased an Amedei 9 chocolate bar. There is a reason that thing was voted as the best dark chocolate bar. Also, the selection of truffles at Caputo's from Chocolatier Blue were amazing. That being said, I cannot necessary say that I enjoy these fine chocolates any more than eating Cadbury mini-eggs. They are just different experiences.

I, too, adore Cadbury mini eggs.

But the Amedei 9 bar? It has won multiple international chocolatier awards. It's fantastic. Best chocolate I have ever had.

            I respectfully dissent.

I broke down and bought a bag today on the way to work. I didn't notice that I had grabbed the Royal Dark version. I was a bit disappointed at first, and didn't think the candy shell would go well with dark chocolate.

I was wrong. I think I enjoy these more than the regular. I'll probably finish off this bag in one day. I'm not a chocolate connoisseur, but this dark chocolate is very smooth and tasty. I don't think anyone would complain about this chocolate coating the back of their throat.

I was excited when I found the dark chocolate version of the mini eggs as I prefer dark chocolate. I bought them and was very disappointed.

Milk chocolate does seem to coat more than dark. I'll give them a try.

All this and no love for the true king of cadbury eggs: The Cadbury Creme Egg. I prefer the regular sized ones, but the minis are excellent too.

I actually prefer the Cadbury creme egg as well. I like the colored yolk! But there wasn't a thread about those.

I love the creme eggs. If they were sold year round I would be dead.

I guess I missed the point when the mini egg started cheating on Easter (though it doesn't go by the same name and has a different shape). Took a bag for my Sunday school class to munch on during the lesson last week. Turns out it was Fast Sunday, but oh well.

Harmon's has started carrying Cadbury Mini eggs at random times during the year. I found them last summer. I of course bought them.
